Veterans Build

On Veterans Day this year we had a group from Team Rubicon join up with a group from UNH AF ROTC at our build site in Rochester.  Moe’s Italian Sandwiches of Rochester donated lunch.  A good time and productive day was had.  Thank you Veterans, you give us so much.

Executive Director’s Note

On my recent trip to the Middle East I was very fortunate to be able to meet with Jordan’s Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Director, Haitham Alzuraiqi. We spent time together sharing stories of need, struggles and successes in each of our affiliates in very different parts of the world. There was a commonality in our discussions as we both spoke of our mutual goals to provide safe, affordable housing in our own countries and our desire to continue to work with Habitat for Humanity to eliminate poverty housing across the globe.

I look forward to sharing my experiences upon my return and I extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you. Every little bit you do has a huge impact both in our own country and around the world.

With warm regards,

First Annual Golf Tournament

We had our first annual golf tournament on August 21, 2017 at the Wentworth By the Sea Country Club.  Over 70 golfers joined in the fun. With the help of sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants we raised money to help us continue building houses and we all had a great time.  An extra thank you to our presenting sponsor, Legacy Properties / Sotheby’s International Realty.

Hurricane Harvey

For anyone wondering if Habitat for Humanity is helping out with the disaster relief for Harvey, the answer is yes and here’s where you can find more information:

While Southeast New Hampshire Habitat will not be on the ground we “tithe” a percentage of our unrestricted donations to Habitat International with the understanding that the money will be used where most needed. Habitat International and Habitat Texas will be helping where ever possible.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone effected by this disaster.
